Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) is a free and open-source cross-platform streaming and recording program that most of professional live streamers use. It's easy to connect to EventLive platform.

Get your RTMP server URL and Event Stream Key

Sign in to EventLive Broadcaster Console and create an event or create a test event.

Where do I find recording on my device?

Accepted Answer

We save a copy on your device just in case the network interrupts or there's any other problem as a backup.

The copy on the device is higher quality than the one you download.

Finding recording on an iPhone or iPad

The event recording is saved to "Photos" gallery on iPhone or iPad.

In some cases, if the app can not copy the recording to "Photos" it can be found in **"Files" => "On My iPhone" => EventLive **

Finding recording on an Android smartphone or tablet

In most cases recording can be found in "Gallery".

If the app couldn't copy the recording to "Gallery" it can be found in "My Files" (Or "File Browser") => Internal Storage => Android => data => pro.eventlive => files => Movies => EventLive

For newer Android versions: If you don't see the video saved in your videos library, please follow the instructions below:

Once the app is installed, please open it and choose "Android" folder.

Copying the recording to your computer

iPhone or iPad with Mac: Plug in your device to your mac and open it in Finder. Look for "Applications" tab and choose "EventLive".

How do I download my video

Accepted Answer

The video is also recorded to our servers and download link will be e-mailed automatically 24 hours after your event scheduled time. The link can also be found in the Event Settings after stream is complete.

||| EventLive's service depends on the internet connection. If there are any interruptions in connection or poor internet signal, unfortunately the video might not be transmitted and/ or recorded to our servers. ||| Always have a backup for recording purposes only (videographer, another camera or phone) to make sure the live stream is not the only recording of your event.

The live video is recorded locally, directly on your phone or tablet as you stream (to your Photos / Video library). Please make sure there is enough available storage on your device before streaming, so the video can be recorded on your device. Find out how to find recording on your local device.

To live stream with GoPro and EventLive, you will need:

GoPro camera (Hero7, Hero8, Hero9, Hero10, GoPro MAX)

GoPro streaming tips:

Keep your GoPro close to WiFi source or to your phone if using as a hotspot
If you walk away with GoPro or take hotspot away from GoPro the transmission would end
Keep live streaming GoPro away from direct sun for too long. GoPro overheats easily and the stream can stop.

Get your RTMP server URL and Event Stream Key

Sign in to EventLive Broadcaster Console and create an event or create a new test event (Test events are completely free!) In your Broadcaster Console choose "How to / RTMP" tab in your event's details. Copy event's Stream Key. You will need the Full RTMP info for GoPro.

How to set optimal video settings in OBS Studio

Run a test on location ahead of the event and watch the live stream. If it's not playing smoothly it may be that your OBS video settings are too high for the internet bandwidth.
Make sure you test with your actual camera(s) feed, not blank screen or slideshow.
Find out your Upload Speed by visiting fast.com or speedtest.net

Make sure you set Automatically Reconnect is enabled, Retry Delay is set to to 1s and Maximum Attempts to a high value like 1000.
