How to live stream a pre-recorded video with EventLive
To live stream a pre-recorded video from your laptop or desktop computer to EventLive you will need the Free OBS Studio software (available for Any platform: Windows, Mac or Linux).
Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) is a free and open-source cross-platform streaming and recording program that most of professional live streamers use. It's easy to connect to EventLive platform.
Sign in to EventLive Broadcaster Console and create an event or create a test event.
In your Broadcaster Console choose "How to / RTMP" tab in your event's details. Copy event's Stream Key.
Download and Install OBS Studio on your computer.
Open OBS Studio, skip Auto Configuration Wizard
In OBS Studio Settings choose "Stream" and "Custom..." for Service.
Enter rtmp://go.eventlive.pro/live into Server field. Use the Stream Key you've copied from Broadcaster Console.
Under Scenes in the bottom left, click the + button.
Once you have a scene, click the button under Sources and select Media Source. You will be given the option to name this source. Click OK to proceed.
Next you will be brought to a Properties window of the source. Select Browse and select the video you would like to live stream.
Click OK and check the video position on the scene
In Audio Mixer make sure that the Media Source audio bars are moving, and reduce the volume of the Mic/Aux source to avoid the microphone being heard.
Change Video > Base Canvas resolution to match your video resolution
Check Video > Output Scaled resolution to be below the video resolution
Match the FPS value of the video
In output make sure to use the appropriate bitrate for your upload speed, and a fast CPU usage preset. (Output mode Advanced)
Click Start Streaming and watch your stream Live at your private event link.
Try to live streaming to a test event before running the stream for the actual event.
Every Event and Test Event has a unique stream key. Don't forget to change it between your tests and events.
Check our recommended OBS video settings. Keep your computer on for the duration of the stream.

Get your RTMP server URL and Event Stream Key
Sign in to EventLive Broadcaster Console and create an event or create a test event.
