Follow these steps to stream or test your live stream on EventLive using your LiveU Solo unit and RTMP.
How to Test Your Live Stream with RTMP
Step 1: Log in to the EventLive Broadcaster Console
Log in with your EventLive account. If you don’t have one, you can register for free.
Step 2: Start a Test Event
Click the Test Live button.
Select Use RTMP from the options.
Step 3: Get Your RTMP URL and Stream Key
After selecting Use RTMP, you will see the RTMP URL and Stream Key displayed on the screen.
Copy both the RTMP URL and the Stream Key. You will need these for your LiveU Solo.
How to Set Up LiveU Solo with EventLive RTMP
Step 1: Access Your LiveU Solo Dashboard
Log in to your LiveU Solo account at https://solo.liveu.tv/
Step 2: Add a New RTMP Destination
Click to add a new destination.
Choose RTMP as the destination type.
Step 3: Enter EventLive RTMP Details
Paste the RTMP URL you copied from EventLive into the RTMP URL field.
Paste the Stream Key into the Stream Key field.
Save your settings.
Step 4: Start Streaming
Start your stream from the LiveU Solo unit.
Go back to the EventLive Broadcaster Console to monitor your stream.
Troubleshooting Tips
No Video Appearing on EventLive:
Double-check that you entered the correct RTMP URL and Stream Key in your LiveU Solo settings.Can’t Find RTMP Info:
Make sure you are logged in to the EventLive Broadcaster Console and have clicked Test Live > Use RTMP.Testing Before Your Event:
Use the free test event option as many times as you need before your actual event. This helps ensure your setup works.
Important Notes
You can test your RTMP stream for free before purchasing credits or sending out your event link.
Each event has its own unique RTMP URL and Stream Key. Always use the details for the specific event you want to stream.
If you are using other devices or software (like MEVO or Switcher Studio), the process is similar: just use the EventLive RTMP details as your custom RTMP destination.
