EventLive supports RTMP streaming, which means you can use many types of cameras and streaming equipment, including some 360° cameras. However, there are important things to know about how 360° video works on EventLive.

How 360° Livestreaming Works on EventLive

  • You can stream from a 360° camera to EventLive using RTMP.

  • The video will display as a flat, equirectangular image. This means all 360° angles are shown at once, which can look distorted.

  • EventLive does not currently support interactive 360° video. Your guests will not be able to pan around the video or look in different directions during the stream.

Streaming from a 360° Camera

If you want to use a 360° camera (like the Insta360 One X2):

  1. Set up your camera to stream via RTMP.

  2. Enter your EventLive RTMP stream key and URL into your camera or encoder.

  3. Start your stream.

Your video will appear on EventLive, but it will show the entire 360° view in one frame.

Important Notes

  • Guests will see the whole 360° image at once. They cannot move the view or pan around.

  • The video may look stretched or distorted because it is not interactive 360°.

Troubleshooting Tips

  • If your video looks distorted, this is normal for 360° video shown as a flat image.

  • Make sure your camera is set to output in a format supported by EventLive (RTMP).

  • If you have trouble connecting your camera, check your RTMP settings and internet connection.

Additional Tips

  • If you want your guests to have an interactive 360° experience (where they can pan around), EventLive does not support this feature at this time.

  • For best results, use a standard camera if you want a traditional viewing experience.
