The Knot does not allow EventLive links in their dedicated Livestream tab, but you can still share your EventLive stream with your guests by adding a custom page or block. Here’s how to do it:

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Copy Your EventLive Stream Link

  1. Go to your EventLive event page.

  2. Copy the full URL from your browser’s address bar.
    Example:
    https://evt.live/your_event_name/your-event-title

Important: Make sure you copy the entire link, including the https:// at the beginning.

Step 2: Log In to Your The Knot Website

  1. Go to theknot.com and log in to your account.

  2. Open your wedding website for editing.

Step 3: Add a Custom Page or Block

Option 1: Add a New Page

  1. In your website editor, look for the option to add a new page.

  2. Name the page something like “Live Stream” or “Watch Our Wedding Live.”

  3. Add a Text Block to the new page.

  4. Type a message, such as:
Click here to watch our wedding live!

  5. Highlight the text you want to turn into a link.

  6. Click the Link icon (usually looks like a chain or link).

  7. Paste your EventLive stream link.

  8. Save or publish your changes.

Option 2: Add a Custom Block to an Existing Page

  1. Go to the page where you want to add the link (for example, your Home page or Schedule page).

  2. Add a new Text Block or Button.

  3. Type a message or label for your link.

  4. Highlight the text or select the button.

  5. Click the Link icon.

  6. Paste your EventLive stream link.

  7. Save or publish your changes.

Troubleshooting Tips

  • If you see a “service not supported” message:
This happens if you try to use the Livestream tab or a dedicated livestream field. Use a custom page or text block instead, as described above.

  • If your link doesn’t work:
Double-check that you copied the full link, including https://. Missing this part can cause errors.

  • If guests can’t access the stream:
Make sure your EventLive event privacy settings allow guests to join with just the link. Most events are set up this way by default.

Important Notes

  • The Knot currently restricts which livestream services can be added to their Livestream tab. EventLive is not on their approved list, but your guests can still access your stream using the workaround above.

  • Your EventLive link will work for anyone who has it, as long as your event privacy settings allow.

Additional Tips

  • You can style your link or button to make it stand out for your guests.

  • Test your link after publishing to make sure it works as expected.

  • Tip: Add your Wedding Website, Registry, PayPal or other links to your event page, easily from the Event Settings! This way your guests could navigate back to your wedding website after the live stream is over.

Your guests will be able to click the link on your The Knot website and watch your EventLive stream with no problem!
