You can add a slideshow or intro video to your EventLive event page before your livestream begins. This is a great way to welcome guests, share photos, or show an introduction before you go live.

What Kind of Slideshow or Video Can I Add?

  • You can upload any video file in a standard format, such as .mp4.

  • If you have a slideshow in PowerPoint, Google Slides, or another program, you need to export or save it as a video file first.

  • You can use any slideshow or video editing app (like iMovie, PowerPoint, or Google Slides) to create your video.

Important: EventLive does not support uploading PowerPoint, Google Slides, or photo files directly as a slideshow. You must convert your slideshow to a video file.

How To Add a Slideshow or Intro Video

Step 2: Upload the Video to Your Event Page

  1. Open EventLive app or Broadcaster console

  2. Select your event

  3. Tap Manage Video tab

  4. Select the video and the upload will start automatically

  5. It might take a few minutes for the video to be converted and to appear on the event page

My slideshow is in PowerPoint or Google Slides. Can I upload it directly?

  • No, you must export or convert your slideshow to a video file (like .mp4) before uploading.

Can I show a slideshow during the live stream?

  • No, EventLive does not support adding a slideshow or video during the live stream. If you want to show a slideshow while live, point your streaming device’s camera at a screen displaying the slideshow. The only option to add a slideshow or video during the event is to use a laptop and professional set up with OBS Studio.

Can I upload multiple photos as a slideshow?

  • You need to create a video from your photos using a slideshow app or video editor, then upload the video.

What happens to the video when I go live?

  • The uploaded video will be automatically replaced by your live stream once you start streaming.

Important Notes

  • The final event recording will only include your live stream, not the pre-uploaded video or slideshow.

  • EventLive does not have a built-in slideshow maker.

  • You can upload other files (like PDFs or documents) in the Title, Date, Time, Event Link, Upload tab, but these will not play as a slideshow.

Additional Tips

  • Test your video before the event to make sure it plays correctly.

  • If you need help converting your slideshow to a video, check the help section of your slideshow software (like PowerPoint or Google Slides).
