Using an External Microphone

You can use most external microphones with the EventLive app to improve your audio quality. This includes microphones that plug directly into your phone or use a wireless receiver connected to your phone.

Please keep in mind that although most wireless microphones are supported by the EventLive app, some microphones might not work. Please use our Test Live free feature to test the audio before your event.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Prepare Your Microphone

  • Make sure your microphone is fully charged (if it uses batteries or has a transmitter/receiver).

  • If you are using a wireless microphone, turn on both the transmitter and receiver.

2. Connect the Microphone

  • Plug your microphone or receiver directly into your phone’s headphone jack or charging port (using an adapter if needed).

  • Do not connect the microphone via Bluetooth.

3. Open the EventLive App

  • Open the EventLive app on your phone.

  • Create or select your event. You can also use Test Live button for free tests.

5. Test Your Setup

  • Use the free test events in the EventLive app to check if your microphone is working.

  • Speak into your microphone and check the audio levels.

Troubleshooting Tips

  • If your microphone works with your phone’s regular camera app but not with EventLive, try connecting the microphone only after you open the streaming screen.

  • Make sure your microphone is not connected via Bluetooth.

  • If you are using a wireless microphone, ensure both the transmitter and receiver are turned on and properly connected.

  • Make sure you have given the EventLive app permission to access your microphone.

  • If you hear echo, please make sure to watch and stream from different rooms. The microphone will pick up the audio and play it back if you are watching and streaming at the same time.

Additional Tips

  • The best microphone for your event depends on your location and setup. Try different options to see what works best for you.
