Pausing Your Livestream

You can pause and resume your EventLive stream as many times as you need within the 24-hour period from when you first start streaming. The event will continue at the same link.

Steps to Pause and Resume Your Livestream

  1. Tap the pause button to pause your livestream.

  2. When you are ready to continue, tap the Continue button to go live again.

  3. The live stream will continue at the same link after the pause.

Note: While your stream is paused, the viewers will be able to watch the replay of everything streamed up to that point.

Informing Your Viewers About the Pause

  • Before you pause, let your viewers know you will be taking a break and will resume soon. You can do this by speaking directly to the camera or using the chat feature.

What Viewers See When You Pause

  • Viewers will see a message that says "Live event paused." if your event is set to "Live Only"

  • They can watch the replay of everything streamed up to the pause.

  • When you resume, the live video will start again at the same link.

Ending Your Livestream

  • EventLive does not have a specific "end" button for streams.

  • The stream will show as "paused" if you stop streaming before the 24-hour period ends.

  • If you want viewers to know the event is over, let them know at the end of your stream by saying goodbye on camera or posting a message in the chat.

Important: The same event link stays active for 24 hours from when you first go live. You can go live multiple times during this period.

Additional Tips

  • You can pause and restart your stream as many times as you need within the 24-hour window.

  • The replay of everything you have streamed will be available at the same link unless you change your settings.

  • For events with breaks (like weddings with a ceremony and reception), you can pause after the ceremony and resume for the reception using the same link.
