Follow these steps to import your guest list using a CSV file and find solutions to common problems.

How to Import a CSV File for Event Invitations

Step 1: Prepare Your CSV File

  1. Open your spreadsheet program (Excel, Google Sheets, Numbers, etc.).

  2. Create a new file with at least two columns:

  3. The first column should be labeled Email

  4. The second column should be labeled Name (optional, but recommended)

  5. Enter your guests’ information under each column

  6. Save the file as a .csv file.

Step 2: Import the CSV File

  1. Tap Guest List & Invite tab

  2. Click Invite by Email

  3. Import button at the top right corner of the screen

  4. Choose your .csv file and confirm.

  5. The guests will receive automatic invitations via e-mail.

Troubleshooting CSV Import Issues

If your CSV import is not working, try these solutions:

1. Check Column Names

  • Make sure your columns are labeled exactly as Email and Name.

  • The column for emails must be named Email (not E-mail, email, or anything else).

  • The name column is optional, but if you include it, label it Name.

2. File Format

  • The file must be saved as a .csv file.

3. Data Formatting

  • Remove any extra spaces before or after the column names and data.

  • Do not include empty rows at the top of your file.

  • Make sure every row has a valid email address.

4. Browser or Device Issues

  • If nothing happens when you select your file, try refreshing the page or using a different browser.

  • If you are using an older operating system (like OSX 10.14.6), make sure your browser is up to date.
