The "Get Notified" feature on EventLive allows guests to receive automatic email reminders about your event. Here’s how it works and what you need to know.
How the "Get Notified" Feature Works
When a guest clicks "Get Notified" on your event page, they enter their email address.
They are added to your guest list and will receive automatic email notifications: 24 hours before the event, 1 hour before the event, when the event goes live
If you go live multiple times (for example, you stop and restart the stream), guests will get another notification each time you go live, but not more than once every 10 minutes.
How Guests Get Notified
If You Invite Guests by Email
Guests you invite directly by email are automatically added to your guest list.
They do not see the "Get Notified" button because they are already set up to receive notifications.
No extra steps are needed for them to get reminders.
If You Share the Event Link
If you send the event link (for example, by text or social media), guests can click "Get Notified" on the event page.
They enter their email to receive notifications.
After signing up, they can also leave a message in the guestbook if they wish.
Important Notes
You do not need to add someone to the guest list twice. If they are already on the guest list (by email invite or by using "Get Notified"), they will get all reminders.
If a guest is prompted to write a message after clicking "Get Notified," it means they are already signed up for notifications and can now leave a guestbook message.
Notifications are sent automatically. You do not need to send reminders manually.
Troubleshooting Tips
If a guest does not see the "Get Notified" button, they are probably already on the guest list (for example, if you invited them by email).
If a guest is not receiving emails, ask them to check their spam or junk folder.
You can view all guests who signed up for notifications in your broadcaster console (Guest List tab).
Additional Tips
You can see how many guests have signed up for notifications by checking your guest list in the app / broadcaster console.
You can also see live viewers and event stats after your event.
