EventLive sends automatic reminder emails to your guests on the Guest List so they don’t miss your event. Here’s how it works and what you need to know.
You can either add guests to the Guest List as the host of the event or the guests can opt in for reminders on the event page to receive automatic notifications about your event.
When Are Reminder Emails Sent?
Guests will receive reminder emails at these times:
Right after you add them to your guest list or they opt in for reminders
24 hours before your event starts
1 hour before your event starts
When you go live
If you go live more than once in a day, guests will get a reminder each time you start the live stream, but not more than once every 10 minutes.
How Do Guests Get Reminder Emails?
Add guests to your guest list. They will automatically receive all reminder emails.
Share your event link. Guests can click the "Get Reminders" button to opt in for reminders.
If a guest signs your guestbook and enters their email, they will also get reminders.
Note: Guests do not need to click "Get Reminders" if you already added them to your guest list. They will get reminders automatically.
Can Guests Unsubscribe?
Yes, guests can unsubscribe from reminder emails at any time. Each reminder email includes an unsubscribe link.
Troubleshooting Tips
Guest did not receive a reminder:
Ask them to check their spam or promotions folder.
Make sure their email address was entered correctly on the guest list.
Reminders are only sent to the email addresses you add or that guests provide themselves.
Guest received too many reminders:
Reminders are limited to once every 30 minutes, even if you go live multiple times in a day.
Guest wants to stop reminders:
They can click the unsubscribe link in any reminder email.
Important Notes
You do not need to add a guest twice. If they are on your guest list or have clicked "Get Reminders," they will get all reminders.
EventLive does not use or share guest emails for any other purpose.
Additional Tips
You can send a thank you message to your guests after the event using their email addresses.
If you want to personalize your event, encourage guests to sign the guestbook when they visit your event page.
